Content Overview
- Introduction to the Mortgage Industry – Industry participants, legislative requirements, facilitated discussion on what is a ‘mortgage’, mortgage products, and the features and benefits of different products and matching products, to meet the needs of the client.
- Lending Fundamentals – Credit and assessment processes, loan repayment theory, loan structuring and fees, charges, taxes and bonuses that may apply (calculating costs to complete).
- Loan process - from initial client contact, needs analysis, presenting product and loan structuring options, completing and submitting applications through to settlement and appropriate contact management. Focus on how on how to facilitate the process between the participants (client, broker, lender, solicitor/s) to maximise successful outcomes.
- Personal development workshop - including communication skills, time management, marketing, referral generation and how to retain and maintain client relationships.
