The Certificate in Bookkeeping FNS40210 qualification is designed to reflect the job roles of contract bookeepers and employees performing bookkeeping tasks for organisations in a range of industries.

Who should enrol
To gain Recognition of Prior learning (RPL) in this qualification, suitable candidates must have more than 2 years experience in a bookkeeping job role with functions that include:
- Establishing and maintaining manual and computerised accounting systems
- Completing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other office financial statements
- Developing bookkeeping management systems for organisations

Tax Practitioner Board Education Requirements
If you are providing a BAS service then you must be registered by the Tax Practitioner's Board (TASA 2009 Act) and this qualification is currently cited as meeting the minimum educational requirements for registration.

Delivery method
Assessment only - Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) involves the assessment of previously unrecognised skills and knowledge, which you have achieved outside formal education or training. RPL assesses this unrecognised learning against the requirements of the Certificate IV qualification, in respect of both entry requirements and outcomes to be achieved.
For existing Bookkeepers with more than 2 years experience, Intellitrain have developed a simple and effective online process to enable you to obtain your Certificate IV in Bookeeping by RPL.
Intellitrain also offer the two (2) GST/BAS taxation principle units FNSBKG404A (BAS) and FNSBKG405A (Payroll) via distance education.
Assessment Method
All the evidence requirements for RPL is listed on the Intellitrain online portal and the evidence will form part of your competency assessment. Students are supported throughout the process by a dedicated assessor.
Approved Partner
Intellitrain is a an approved partner for both the key bookkeeping industry bodies - AAT Australia and the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB).
Outcome
On successful completion of this course, the Qualification FNS40210 Certificate IV in Bookkeeping will be issued.
