Recognition of prior learning may be defined in a number of ways, some more expansive than others. However, all definitions include the key notion that RPL involves the assessment of previously unrecognised skills and knowledge, which an individual has achieved outside the formal education and training system. RPL assesses this unrecognised learning against the requirements of a qualification, in respect of both entry requirements and outcomes to be achieved. The basic requirement of any RPL process is to obtain evidence from the candidate to demonstrate competence against the required units of the Training package – in this instance Certificate IV Financial Services (Accounting) FNS40604. To assist candidates with the process Intellitrain will deliver RPL Information sessions and WEBINARs (web-seminars). These sessions will clarify the RPL process for the candidate and provide the opportunity to complete the Unit Questions. |
