It is envisaged the majority of Diploma participants will be existing finance/mortgage broking professionals who wish to attain industry best practice educational standards and upgrade their business development/planning skills, or who wish to diversify their existing residential lending business to incorporate commercial finance.
Entry Requirements
It is expected that those entering this Diploma program will have:

completed Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking) FNS40804

a minimum of two (2) years experience in the Finance/Mortgage Broking industry

membership with a relevant industry association

Delivery and Price
The bridging program consists of two modules that can be completed (within a 6 month period);
Classroom
A blended delivery consisting of 3 days class time supplemented with home-study. Courses can be 3 successive days, or delivered over time. All trainers are successful industry practitioners with personal experience in commercial and asset lending. Courses are held regularly around Australia (see website for dates).

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL candidates for this qualification will be existing finance/mortgage broking professionals who have been operating in the area of commercial/business lending for a minimum of three (3) years. As with any RPL process the candidate will be required to provide evidence of their existing competency against the units required for this qualification.

Assessment
The two modules are individually assessed via a combination of open book questions and a case study. Students are entitled to 1 complimentary resit in the event they are deemed not yet competent on their first attempt.
