Refund, Deferral, Transfer Policy
Face to face training, Online, Distance Education, Blended Learning, Webinar Delivery and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Refund of fees Fees will not be refunded if a student withdraws after the Face-to-Face program has commenced, study materials have been dispatched or they have logged in and accessed the Online Training Portal, iTrain for either Online Training or RPL.
The only exceptions to this policy are:
- where the student’s application for enrolment is declined by Intellitrain
- where Intellitrain cancels a subject in which the student has enrolled or where the commencement of the subject is postponed for more than four weeks
Transfer of course delivery method Students who have enrolled in an Online, RPL or Distance course can transfer to a face to face delivery method without penalty. Any difference in fees will be require to be paid prior to the change of delivery.
Deferral Upon commencement of a program, deferral of study may be approved in cases of severe or long term illness, personal or immediate family trauma for a period of up to 12 months. An administrative fee of $100 will apply.
Face to Face Training Workshops
Refunds of fees Fees for training courses will only be refunded under the following circumstances:
- Fees will be refunded whereby a cancellation is received up to ten (10) working days prior to commencement of a course. An administration fee of $50 will apply.
- Fees will be refunded whereby cancellations are received up to five (5) working days prior to the commencement of a course. An administration fee of $100 will apply.
- No refund is available for cancellations received within five (5) working days of a course.
Transfer to another financial training workshop If a student is unable to attend a training course, they can transfer to another course if they provide Intellitrain with a request in writing via Email to

The following terms and conditions apply:
- For requests received more than 10 (ten) working days prior to commencement of the training course, students can, without penalty, transfer to another course of equivalent value or less
- For requests received more than 5 but 10 or less working days prior to commencement of a training course, students can transfer to another course of equivalent value or less. An administrative fee of $100 will apply in addition to any higher course fees applicable to the new course.
- For requests received five (5) or less working days prior to commencement of the training course, students can transfer to another course of equivalent value or less . An administrative fee of $200 will apply in addition to any higher course fees applicable to the new course.
- If you have enrolled and not yet paid for your course, any request to transfer to another training course will not be approved until a $100 administrative fee has been received.
- Where a transfer is made to a course with lower fees no refund is paid for the difference in fees. Where a transfer is made to a course with higher fees, the student is liable for the difference in fees which must be paid before the transfer is approved.

Client selection, enrolment and induction Client selection is based on a “first in” basis. Students are placed into their chosen course unless it is full. If this is the case, they may choose an alternative date or method of study. Applicants may be assessed on if they will be able to meet the requirements of the course. Consideration takes into account pre-requisites and Training Package assessment guidelines.
Clients can enrol online by filling in an enrolment form at any time prior to their chosen course.
An Induction process is undertaken at the commencement of the course to ensure all learners have a full understanding of the course, its requirements and their expectations.
Course information Information on all courses is available on the Intellitrain website. Please refer to www.intellitrain.com.au. If you do not have access to the internet please contact us on 1300 735 082 and we will arrange to post you more information about the courses.

Transfer to another module or subject Students who have enrolled in a course can transfer to another module or subject prior to the commencement of the program without penalty.
Provision for language, literacy and numeracy assistance If you believe you may have a learning or literacy problem, please tell us prior to enrolling. We can give you a literacy and numeracy self-assessment to help you pinpoint where you need help.
Intellitrain offers courses and programs that, based on the nature of the content, require a good standard of LL&N. If you believe that you require additional support for language, literacy and numeracy during your course, please advise the RTO staff.
RTO training and assessment staff will support your needs as much as possible. If your LL&N needs are extensive, Intellitrain may refer you to specialist services for further support. Such referral cost will be the responsibility of the student.
Training & Assessment Intellitrain have developed a variety of delivery methodologies designed to provide sound learning outcomes while allowing for flexibility in delivery.
Intellitrain can deliver courses using the following methods:
- Face to Face
- Distance (paper based and online)
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Not all delivery methodologies are available for each course so please contact Intellitrain for information about the course you want to enrol in.
Bookkeeping FNS40207 Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) can be completed online through the website or by applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Online Training The online course has been designed to reflect a realistic scenario for work that, as a bookkeeper, you would be required to do for a client. The tasks can be completed using the templates provided OR your choice of accounting software (software not provided). You can enter the online portal as MANY times as you require and edit your responses as you see fit. The completed tasks will form part of your competency assessment and these can be uploaded onto the website for marking by the assessor. All students will also have access to telephone and email support throughout the program.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) The online version of the RPL contains all the evidence you need to demonstrate competency towards your Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping). Everything you need to complete in the 4 step process is available on the online portal. You can enter the online portal as MANY times as you require and edit your responses as you see fit. The evidence will form part of your competency assessment and these can be uploaded onto the website for marking by the assessor. All students will also have access to telephone and email support throughout the program.

Client support At times you may need support that Intellitrain is simply not able, nor qualified to provide to you. In this case, we are able to provide you with a list of support, welfare or guidance agencies and organisations that may be able to better meet your needs. Please speak with RTO staff to arrange assistance. Any cost associated with third party assistance will be the responsibility of the student.
Flexible learning and assessment procedures Intellitrain offers flexibility through our learning and assessment procedures to meet the differing needs of clients. Please speak with your trainer and/or assessor or other RTO staff if you believe that adjustments need to be made to accommodate your special learning needs.
Welfare and guidance services Intellitrain endeavours to provide welfare and guidance services to all participants. If you feel you need further advice and support in any area of your study please speak to any staff member. If they cannot assist you they may refer the matter to the organisation principal who in turn may refer you to a third party for professional assistance. Any cost associated with third party assistance will be the responsibility of the student.
Appeals and complaints procedures Intellitrain has in place a complaints and appeals policy and procedure, which is available to all students. Should you wish to lodge a complaint or an appeal for any reason please, please refer to the full policy available online or from the RTO’s office. Any complaint and appeal will be at all times treated confidentially and professionally and acted upon within the time frames outlined in the policy. Complaints and Appeals should be lodges in writing and addressed to the organisation’s principal.
Disciplinary Procedures Intellitrain Pty Ltd does not tolerate inappropriate behaviour that impedes on the rights of others to learn in a safe environment. Such behaviour includes the use of offensive language, intoxication, attending class under the influence of illegal substances, discrimination, harassment or vilification in any form, breaches in safety or any behaviours in general that are offensive, illegal or dangerous.
Students displaying these types of behaviours will terminate their right to participate and will be immediately excluded from the learning and/or assessment environment without refund. Students may appeal such a decision following the Appeals Policy and Procedure. Intellitrain Pty Ltd further reserves the right to terminate without refund, the enrolment of any student found cheating in any way.
Staff responsibilities for access and equity All staff have the responsibly to carry out their relevant duties and responsibilities in a fair and equitable manner following all organisational policies relating to Access and Equity, Discrimination and Equal Opportunity.
Should you feel a fellow student or staff member is in breach of this requirement, please notify the Organisation Principal in writing to ensure the matter is dealt with promptly.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a means by which candidates can demonstrate their competency against national criteria without having to undertake a course and pass an examination. The RPL process recognises that people may have attained the required competency through on the job earning and years of experience.
The Intellitrain RPL process is designed to make it simple for candidates who have been operating in the Mortgage Broking Industry for more than two years to gain the formal recognition they deserve.

All of our staff that deals with personal information are made aware of the Privacy Act.

The Data We Collect
Emails and Electronic Forms
We will record your email address only if you send us a message. Your personal information will only be used for the purposes for which you have provided it. Your email address will not be added to a mailing list, unless you subscribe this information to a mailing list provided via our website. Where you choose to send us a completed electronic form that includes your personal details, we collect personally identifiable information, such as name, address and email address and other contact or request details.
