Certificate IV in Bookkeeping

If you are, or want become, a Bookkeeper or BAS Agent then under the new regulatory regime, which commenced on the 1st of March 2010 you're required to hold a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) or (Accounting).

If you have a minimum of 2 years experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role then you can likely gain your Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) by RPL - a simple process which recognises your experience without the need for any additional training.

The AAT Australia member fees to gain your Certificate IV in Bookkeeping are below:

RPL - $750 (Normally $870)

FNSBKG404A & FNSBKG405A – Required BAS Agent Compliance Units

To comply with the new BAS Agent regulations Bookkeepers are required to have completed the specialist FNSBKG404A "Carrying out Business Activity and Instalment Activity Statement Tasks" and the FNSBKG405A "Establish and Maintain a Payroll System" Units.

If you've completed a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting), another Accounting-related qualification or the Certificate IV in Bookkeeping more than 12 months ago then it's likely that these units were not part of your qualification. To ensure that you meet the regulations and can act as a BAS Agent you'll be required to undertake these units of competency as soon as possible.

Intellitrain has recently made these units available as both stand-alone or bundled programs.

The AAT Australia member fees are as follows:

• FNSBKG404A - $435 (Normally $495)
• FNSBPG405A - $435 (Normally $495)
• Bundled Both Units - $635 (Normally $695)

What happens after I register?

Once we receive your registration one our our RPL team will contact you to step you through the process and begin helping you to gather the required information.

To assist you with the process we also deliver RPL Information sessions and WEBINARs (web-seminars). These sessions will step through the RPL process and provide you with assistance to complete the Unit Questions.

How long does it take?

The time it takes for you to gain your certification will depend on how quickly you can provide us with the information - it can be a short as only a few days!
